Planning permission has been obtained to restore a delightful bothy and to link it to a new contemporary dwelling. The bothy was once a 'gentleman's smoking room' set adjacent to the nearby carriage route. Careful orientation and design of the new extension will ensure that the ridge height of the extension will reach no higher than the top of the bothy, which will retain its charm and avoid becoming obscured or dominated by the new building.
