Briggs Cottage, Kinnoir
The practice has been commissioned to design a contemporary four bedroom house with straw bale construction and a lime render. A number of environmental technologies have been incorporated into the proposal, including reed bed drainage, water storage, ground source heat pumps, photovoltaics, solar panels and triple glazing.

A thick spine wall is at the heart of the design, wrapping around a snug area on the lower floor and forming a terrace above, accessed from the master bedroom.
