A contemporary dwelling has been designed to replace existing derelict cottar houses. The proposal is intended to be modern in spirit yet rooted in the rural tradition. Externally the walls are finished in render and drystone walling with small panels of timber cladding under covered areas. The north range contains a family bathroom and accessible bedroom and is linked to a ground source heat pump and double garage. Three double bedrooms are accommodated on the upper floor with a terrace accessed from the master bedroom.
