Renewable Energy technologies are associated with a number of environmental benefits, including the reduction of CO2, as well as financial savings and increased fuel security. Innovative and environmentally friendly systems can be more expensive to install than other 'standard' technologies but often prove to be more cost-effective long-term with an easily calculable payback time. Grants are available to contribute towards costs.

c) support in applying for grants and funding
